Membership Options

Full Member

All Phytotherapists registered with the AHPCSA in terms of the Act are eligible for full membership of
SAARP. Membership is granted at the discretion of the NEC.

Full members can enjoy the following:

– Free online and physical lectures hosted by SAARP;
– 1 CEU/year attained for membership and many more opportunities to accumulate additional CEU.
– Access to the South African Journal of Phytotherapy and the opportunity to write peer-reviewed
articles for it;
– Access to a member portal on our website. This includes access to free reading material, video
resources, and more;
– The use of our logo on your website to demonstrate that your standard of care is in line with the
level the association advocates;
– Automatic advertising on our website and through our social media platforms;
– Access to a SAARP WhatsApp Group, as well as optional access to our WhatsApp Gardening Group;
– Access to all industry-related news updates, information on current laws & regulations affecting the
profession, and to all news on projects within SAARP;
– Support from our herbal community, professional bonding, and informal mentoring;
– Biannual Newsletter;
– Leadership development opportunities within the NEC.

 Fellow Member

A Fellow Member is not registered as a Phytotherapist but has relevant qualifications; the NEC of the
association reserves the right to inspect qualifications of individuals for eligibility;
Fellow members can enjoy the following:
– Free online and physical lectures hosted by SAARP;
– Access to the South African Journal of Phytotherapy;
– Access to a member portal on our website. This includes access to free reading material, video
resources, and more.

Student Member

All students registered as Phytotherapy students in terms of the Act, are eligible for student
membership of SAARP. Membership is granted at the discretion of the NEC.
Student members can enjoy the following:

– Free online and physical lectures hosted by SAARP;
– Access to the South African Journal of Phytotherapy;
– Access to a member portal on our website. This includes access to free reading material, video
resources, and more;
– Access to a SAARP WhatsApp Group, as well as optional access to our Whatsapp Gardening Group;
– Access to all industry-related news updates, information on current laws & regulations affecting the
profession, and to all news on projects within SAARP;
– Support from our herbal community, professional bonding, and informal mentoring;
– Biannual Newsletter;
